How it started
In 2019 at the bi-annual EAWOP conference in Turin, the EAWOP General Meeting decided to develop a unit – the EAWOP Impact Incubator – with the goal of informing and underpinning European policy development regarding people, work and organization based on the science and practice of Work and Organizational Psychology.
The EAWOP Impact Incubator – EAWOPii – started in November 2020, with the appointment of its inaugural Director, Prof Rosalind Searle. She is responsible for developing this new strategic and policy focused area for EAWOP.
The mission of the EAWOPii is outlined below:
The mission of the EAWOP Impact Incubator – EAWOPii – is to inform and underpin European policy development regarding people, work and organization on the basis of the science and practice of Work and Organizational psychology
EAWOPii: translates Work and Organizational Psychology science into usable policy briefings for those in senior advisor roles
EAWOPii: informs, guides and helps shape policy in Europe regarding people, work and organizations through briefing papers directed at senior policy advisors
EAWOPii: produces ideas, analysis, advice and public policy briefings
EAWOPii: becomes a ‘go to’ source for policy advisors on Work and Organizational perspectives on the workplace
EAWOPii: acts as a repository for Work and Organizational Psychology perspectives on policy positions related to people, work and organizations
